Healthy (chocolate?!) smoothie

Chocolate milkshake meets fruit smoothie. In under 5 minutes say hello to a healthy chocolate drink that tastes like all the chocolatey deliciousness you could ever want. This recipe is adapted from the wonderful recipe by queenofthegreen “Let us know what you think” well now I’ve made it. And I love it!

You will need…
๐ŸŒธ 150 ml almond milk

๐ŸŒธ 1 over-ripe banana

๐ŸŒธ 1/2 courgette

๐ŸŒธ 1 handful spinach

๐ŸŒธ 1 level tbsp cocoa powder

๐ŸŒธ 1 level tbsp chia seeds

๐ŸŒธ 1 handful red seedless grapes (or more for extra juiciness and sweetness)

๐ŸŒธ A few shakes of cinnamon powder

How to make:
1) In a blender, throw in all of the ingredients (except from the chia seeds), and blend until everything’s…blended.

2) Pour into a glass, bottle, etc, and add the chia seeds. Be sure to mix seeds in with the smoothie and leave for 5 minutes to allow them to absorb and gel (they are easier to digest this way).

What I love about this is that it’s an idea I’ve never thought of in the sense of adding a little cocoa powder to a usual smoothie. Like, any smoothie. And, hey presto, you get a frothy fruity and so so chocolatey drink that is very good for you, and also tastes great – who would’ve guessed?!
